Overview
The Bowery is a neighborhood of melting cultures: immigrant, working-class origins meet radical artists and gentrifying hipsters. The Jewish quarters blend into Puerto Rican, Dominican and Chinese. The LES is the neighborhood of CBGB, Joey Ramone, Cy Twombly and Mark Rothko. Come on a walk of my four favorite art, design, cultural and historic institutions of the Bowery. You'll find a new understanding of the diversity and character packed into this little district.
